Description
We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team at our skilled nursing facility. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse (RN) with strong hands-on leadership experience.
As DON, you’ll play an essential role in supporting the Administrator, leading clinical teams, ensuring high standards of resident care, and helping cultivate a positive, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Administrator in managing day‑to‑day clinical operations.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to nursing staff.
Oversee compliance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and best clinical practices.
Assist with staffing, scheduling, and monitoring labor needs.
Participate in quality assurance, care plan development, and performance improvement initiatives.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation and reporting.
Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and resident-centered care.
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in Tennessee.
Previous leadership experience in a LONG TERM CARE setting REQUIRED — Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, MDS Coordinator, Staff Development Coordinator, Nurse Educator or Administrator.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (CMS, state regulations, survey processes).
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to motivate teams and maintain a positive work environment.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and clinical assessment skills.
