Cascade Living was founded in 2006 with the strategic intent to acquire, develop and operate high-quality senior housing communities in the western United States. The company intends to offer a broad range of senior housing options, including active retirement, independent and assisted living, as well as integrated and free-standing memory care environments.

The company’s vision is to provide more refined and leading edge living options to an expanded and evolving senior housing marketplace. Though our strong dedication and commitment to our residents, we strive to provide distinguished senior retirement options that promote active, independent lifestyles and provide the highest quality of care.

The company was founded by four highly experienced senior living and real estate entrepreneurs with divergent and complementary skills sets: Dale Zulauf is responsible for all operations of the company and jointly evaluates potential acquisitions and new development, Tom Stanley is responsible for construction, legal, and risk management, Bill Shorten is responsible for finance, accounting and acquisitions, while Clark Claypool manages assets and new development projects. In addition, the company has corporate level experts in wellness and quality assurance, marketing and sales, construction management, and accounting.

Current community locations are Washington and California, with additional projects in the development pipeline throughout the western United States.
